I just love giving presents! My gift recipient is getting two of my 8 oz candles, an ice cream scoop soap, a pie soap, two lip balms and a small decorative jar of organic Madagascar vanilla beans she can make extract with. I am so excited, I hope she likes everything!
If you haven't made your own vanilla extract and are very fond of baking...you MUST try homemade vanilla extract! It is yummah! You can actually get very nice organic beans on Ebay now. I deal with a seller there who is wonderful. Anyone who wants the vendor, just email me and I will give you the info. ALSO, I have alot of vanilla recipes....so anyone who wants them just shoot me an email as these recipes are not on my recipe site.
Anyone caught in the middle of this nasty blizzard--please be careful! The roads were horrible this evening. I know the ride in to work was a white knuckle ride too! Please take proper precautions. There is no place in the world worth dying to get to! Slow down and turn on your lights too. Your presence this holiday season will mean more than presents. Just be safe out there.

Making my own vanilla is something I've never considered even trying - but if it's that easy, it sounds like a fun project!
It is fun, you must try! You can also make your own Kahlua too! Mmmmm!
